Is your mask really serving you?

by Mette on April 23, 2012

I’ve always been very organised, very disciplined, very hardworking… I would finish everything AT LEAST three days before my deadline. My Master’s Thesis I finished four months before my deadline!

I would plan everything, my life, my home, what I wanted to be, where I wanted to live and when, who I wanted to live with, how I wanted to live. Although these ten year plans constantly changed and nothing ever turned out how I had planned it, I continued to plan.

I spend hours upon hours planning my yoga classes and writing down a well-thought-through sequence, only to forget that my little black book of sequences is actually lying right by my feet. And I spend hours thinking about the perfect sentence to tell people when they ask me what I do. Again… only to never use it and change everything in the moment.

So I looked at all this time I was spending on planning, and I looked at how it made me feel. I looked at WHY I was constantly planning.

Only to notice that I was waisting A LOT of time (especially considering the part that I never really used any of the stuff I spent planning), it made me feel stressed out and perfectionistic, and the reason I was REALLY planning was so I could say to myself (and the world) that I am a REAL hard worker and well disciplined!

But it’s not who I am. I am an intuitive, I feel my way through life, I work with gut instinct, I perform best under inspiration from myself rather than ‘I should’. And this I had to have another psychic remind me (yes, I am obviously not objective enough to see that for myself). A friend could not have told me this, because to the world, I am a planner, I am a hard worker, I am very disciplined, I am highly organised, and I DON’T faf around. But it doesn’t work for me anymore, and it is time to let that go.

So take a REALLY good look at who you are choosing to be, and why. And then ask yourself whether it is serving you. Does who you are choosing to be just give you more work, make you more stressed out? Are you waisting time being someone you are not? Is the way in which you do things working for you?

And I can help you out on that one. In a Life Purpose Session with me I look at who you are at soul-level. Not the face you are choosing to show the world, but who you REALLY are underneath all those programmes and beliefs we have held on to over the past many many years and lifetimes. AND I look at what your unique skills and gifts are, which will tell you a lot about how you work!

So head on over to http://www.bestselfexperience.com/life-purpose-session and book your session with me today!

Looking forward to working with you!

We’ve all tried it! Standing there thinking “DAMN, I should have listened to my intuition”!

When you said yes to that job, even though you knew there was something odd about that boss. Or when you decided to go to that party even though you just knew it was going to be a bore!

But why didn’t we listen to our intuition? This is an incredibly important question to ask.

Knowing why you didn’t listen to your intuition is the first step you can take towards actually beginning to listen to it.

And I can help you out a bit with that question!

Most likely, you didn’t listen to your intuition because it would have required a leap of faith. It would have required you stepping OUT of your comfort zone, and into something that feels unknown.

The last time I REALLY listened to my intuition was a year ago, just before I quit my job. I had wanted to leave my job for a while but had seen no better alternative, and therefore stayed. And stayed. And stayed. Until I finally physically and spiritually could not do it anymore. I had still not found another job, but my intuition was yelling at me to get out.

So I did. I of course had a financial back-up plan, but quitting my job required a tremendous amount of faith in myself and faith in the fact that I knew I had the resources to figure it out. But I had no clue as to how. I had no clue at that point that I could turn what I loved doing the most (using my own intuitive abilities to help other people overcome their obstacles in life…) into a full time job for myself.

When I finally realised that this was what my intuition had been trying to tell me all along, I was scared to my bones! I literally couldn’t sleep, I had nightmares about people shooting me, I was certain that people would talk behind my back, and begin to disrespect me… all because I was moving away from my comfortable world hiding behind an academic degree and great job title, to doing something that to many is viewed as the most imprecise science in the world… using my intuitive (read: psychic) abilities to help people discover their purpose in life and get back on track.

But I trusted that my intuition was correct, and I knew that to step it up and to move towards joy and bliss, you need to pass through an uncomfortable zone and REALLY look your most irrational fears in the eye. Because on the other side of discomfort is a butt-load of freedom!

So let me know if you want to step it up a notch and find out how you can step out of your comfort zone, and into your life purpose and start living and being the reason why you came to this beautiful Earth to begin with… I can definitely help you.

In a Break Through Burnout Session with me I enter your Akashic Record to discover who you are deep down inside, underneath all those fears, and limited beliefs. Then I look at what your life purpose is about and what next steps you can take to step into that purpose!

Feeling a little nervous at the thought? Then you are on the right track and ready to take your next step in your life. So head on over and book a Break Through Burnout Session with me today, and begin to come even closer to living the life you truly came here to live!

You can read more or book your session here!

Looking SO much forward to working with you!

Bye for now!

Burnout cure no. 1: Just say NO!

I was highly inspired by a very good friend of mine who, when talking to her the other day, told me that her mantra for 2012 is NO.
